THE WAY WE WERE
Academic Program
The pursuit of knowledge was the main focus of life at St. Angela's Academy- a provincially recognized High School offering all the courses for senior matriculation, plus additional options. We believed the small school atmosphere which fosters individual strengths and talents is still considered to be the best environment in which students can develop the ability to make valid choices and achieve academic excellence. The academic curriculum, which provides a wide range of challenging courses, qualified graduates for university admission. The tranquil, rural setting was conducive to girls accomplishing the goals of the program without distraction, and thus gave greater attention to progress.
The School fostered the belief that both understanding and enthusiasm grow when shared by staff and students alike, that hard work and creative involvement are the foremost responsibilities of the entire Christian community.
Scholarships and bursaries were awarded in the academic, fine arts, athletics, and leadership areas, as well as for exemplary Christian and Catholic living.
